Thanks for the replies regarding the resistor block...I figured it was the selector switch at first guess , however the switch was OK ..I did not know about the resistor block at the time but managed to figure it out....

The switch is actually easy to access , the whole plastic front of the dash just pulls off , remove a couple of screws on the heating panel , disconnect 2 plugs and the panel is in your hands , maybe 5 minutes..

Anyway will order a new resistor block to-day...........go44

Mine is currently only running on 3, 4, and 5 speeds as well. Is the resistor pack located behind the switch, or is it somewhere else in the dash or under the hood?

Replaced resistor 2 times, once after dealer had to change out module for on-star that fried. Took it back the second time and dealer had to replace blower motor .............it fried as well as the resistor.

The resistor pack is mounted next to the blower motor, under the glovebox.
