Tank volume

I ran out of gas today.  I ignored that huge billboard sized sign on the dash that told me to get gas.  I filled it and it took 26.58 gallons.  If I had one bitch about my new truck, it's the small tank!

I hate the small tank too...  (especially when towing).  I don't care what it costs to fill-up, I just want to carry alot of fuel!!!

Check this site out:  www.tourbuddy.com

It's a Canadian company that makes auxiliary tanks that go in the bed of the truck over the wheel wells.  You could put 4 in there and get 44 extra gallons of fuel.  About $900 US for a set of 4.  Pretty easy to install, from the looks of it.

I like the idea of the 54gal tank for the LB, but their web site says that it can only be used on non-OBDII trucks.  I would have assumed that all of the new model trucks were using OBDII?  Anybody have any clues on how to determine if the 2002 2500HD 8100 is OBDII or not?  My other thought was maybe this was just a required statement because there is some bit of legal paperwork saying that OBDII vehicles can't have fuel tanks over XX gal and that the larger tank size really wouldn't interfier with the OBDII operations.

Thanks

John
