I just bought an alpine amp(above) and four 6 1/2" infinity speakers. I've already installed the rca adapter to the head unit, but what about the rear speakers? What is the best way to hook up the speakers and amp for max power and the best sound? Been working on it way too long. oh, the amp is 4 channel 200w. 50w x 4

well....there really shouldnt be much to it! if ur running 4 channel than Just make sure that your rca's are in the right spots when you plug the speakers directly into the amp..i.e) the fronts to the fronts, back to the back. (oh and by the way how are there 4 6.5's? is this a 4 door or wat? just wondering cause thats interesting)..there shouldnt be much trouble here...mayb some more info on what you are having trouble wit exactly..

I installed a five channel amp in mine. Well I used four channels and then the amp has a separate subwoofer out. I used two channel high ot low level converters (Stinger Brand) and a factory radio plug at the head unit and a radio conversion plug on the factory harness. I connected only the positive, switch 12V and ground between the two adapter plugs. I then ran two RCA Lines (front R and L, and Rear R and L) back to the amp behind my seat. I installed a pair of Kenwood 6.5" Excelon door speakers and 4"x6" Kenwood Excelon rear speakers and a 12" Rockford Fosgate sub. From the amp I ran all new wires to each speaker. So I didn't use any of the factory speaker wire harness. Sounds great.

Hey thanks, It's raining bad here and I'll have to work on it tomorrow, but I'll get back to you if I have any probs, or not. You know, I couldn't find anyone here to help me at all, and these are my friends, I really appreciate it! Oh, the guy at best buy said that my problem was I didn't isolate the speakers. I tapped into the speaker wire coming out of the head unit w/ the RCA adapter (IEC AULOC) 2 RCA PLUG, anywayl, I ran the two RCA plugs out of the head unit and into the inputs of the amp, CH1&2 (front only) I didn't do anything to the rear, because I didn't know how to add them? Then I ran new speaker wire to the speakers, but I didn't cut the wire from the speaker to the head unit (CLOSED LOOP W/ A HELL OF A LOT OF FEEDBACK). I feel like a dummy because I was an electrician in the Navy. Thanks guys/gals!
