Looking for good 3" lift kit

I want to get ahold of a good and complete 3" kit to have installed this summer. I would go 6" but I don't do a whole lot of off-roading so it would be a little impractical to go that high/extreme. I looked at body lifts...don't like the way they look. Also, my rig has 110K miles on her and the only thing I need to do is change out my left front hub because of the bearing going out, are there any other suspension components I should swap out to eliminate problems early. Any part numbers or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I have heard of a 3 inch lift made by skyjacker but I dont know anyone personally that has one on their truck. I know you don't really want to go 6 inches but I know that three friends of mine have 6 inch lifts on their truck s and I love the way It looks. You can have a 6 inch lift and only run 35's and still have a good truck on the road and off the road. With all of the choices out there I would go with CST or Rancho(CST first beacause they make killer lift kits) but either company makes good lifts. I Also have a friend with a Pro Comp 6 inch lift, and for the money he paid for it, he got a good quality lift. Another friend of mine has a Fabtech and It is a very high quality lift.

I have a 3 inch body lift on my truck and I know a bunch of people dont like them but I got one and bought the gap guards and bumper relocation brackets so my truck doesnt look like it has a body lift unless you get under It. I catch a lot of crap for putting a body lift on my truck but I figure as long as I am paying the payments and dont have enough money for a suspension lift I can do whatever I want.

Not sure why the look of a body lift is any different than 3" suspension - not to mention the BL is only $500 for the full kit. Here's my 03 with a 3" BL and 305/70/16 BFG's. I get a lot of compliments on mine. I just added the gap guards and you can't even tell.

I get a hard time too for having a BL but I get just as many compliments too!! I drive mine 100mi a day roundtrip and the BL gives me the look of the w/o paying the price of a suspension lift.

Because the space between your step bars and the truck itself is larger and you can even see the space between your front bull bar and the truck body. If you know what you look for it is certainly noticable. I went with a suspension lift on mine because i wanted the added clearance as well as the raised look.

True but the % of people who actually "know" what to look for as opposed to those that don't notice (at least in my experience) is vastly different. I drive mine 100mi a day round trip and the BL fits my needs. I can always put a suspension lift on top of the body lift down the road. Not to mention a lot of my extra $$ goes into this:

I would like to get a Rancho 4" suspension lift, but it's like $1,100...i couldn't stand it if my truck looked funny b/c of a body lift or I had to spend extra money for relocating brackets and covers...

After alot of researching and debating between a 3" Body Lift or a 4-6" suspension lift, I'm going to do the 3" body lift. If I get tired or have the desire for more, then I'll mess with the suspension. I think the BL still looks great! It lets you clear bigger tires, is cheaper and probably have less problems down the road then a SL.
