Final truck update?

I got the HD back. Here is what the dealer said...

As far as the T-case ticking. They said a cable was too close to the front drive shaft and it was just kissing it when the drive shaft was turning causing the tick.

As far as the tranny. I was surprised!!! The service mgr moved my truck out back after I dropped it off. He was able to duplicate it the first time he went to move!!! Then when the tech went to bring it in the shop this AM it did it again. So thankfully I didn't get the dreaded "could not duplicate" answer. They in fact recognized their was indeed a problem and thoroughly started to research it. They found an updated program and downloaded it into the computer. They then drove it about 15 miles and said they did not have it happen again. I've got my fingers crossed and I hope they got it!!! The good thing is that if it does do it again they will know what I'm talking about... I put about 10 miles on it and it didn't do it. The real test will be at 5:40 AM when I roll out the end of my driveway tomorrow. It seemed to act up almost every morning at the end of the drive... I'm glad to have my truck back!!!

They found an updated program and downloaded it into the computer.

What is your tranny made by microsoft? Release it w/ bugs and just download the update later?

Damn, you've been through one #### of an ordeal with this new truck. I think you are due for some good luck.

I had the same problem with my transmission in my 1500. The dealer downloaded an update and it has been fixed since. Hope that does it for your truck too!!
