2005 Half Ton Light Bar

I'm looking for a light bar for my 05 Z71 Sierra 1500. Not HD.

 

Anybody know of any bolt-on application? If not I'll have to get a friend of mine who has a machine shop in his garage to make one....

Okay I hate to reply to myself but in case I'm interested, I got this light bar from KC Hilites. I recommend to myself to go and get one!

If I may, He has 2 Rally 800 Driving lights, and 2 Rally 800 Long Range. And I believe they're mounted on the KC HiLites 7441 Lightbar.

The bar mounts directly to the frame through the holes in the bumper where the hooks are. The mounting is really easy, and really solid. Nothing mickey-mouse about it. And also, the lights themselves have enormous mounting bolts and adjustment bolts and the powdercoating on the lights and the bar is very impressive. Best part is, you get to keep your tow hooks!! This is one of the reasons I liked the bar so much. You can look at the bar in more detail on www.kchilites.com and you should download the .pdf catalog and look at the bar in the .pdf document, the website doesn't list all their bars for some reason. Note carefully that you need a specific part number for a specific year, there is a different one from 99-03 and another from 04-07.

 

I don't notice any annoying vibration or anything in the bar. It's very stable.

 

Now that I know how good the lights are I would have been happy just buying the two light bar and the two driving lights. I really didn't need the spotlights. But I'm happy I have them, I can literally see a mile down the road at night.

 

One thing - do NOT buy from KC Hilites website. I phoned them and asked them why their prices are so much higher and they said that they prefer not to deal with the public but refer the public to places like jcwhitney and summitracing. I bought my stuff from summitracing and it arrived quickly, shipping was free, and I got what I wanted.
