Exhaust Question

Ok - i'm looking to get a Flowmaster 50 SUV series muffler (just the muffler) and have a shop fab the rest to save money. I think I want the single in, dual out setup. Should I get Center In, Dual Out or Offset In, Dual Out? Also, what piping sizes should I get, the outlets are always .25" smaller than the inlet.

 

also - where can I just buy the muffler alone and not the catback system (besides the exhaust shop b/c they up their prices)

Look at summitt for just a muffler,Per formance Peddler is suppose to have some good prices on them allso.I was looking at the Magnaflow site and they have a Buy it online tab and there are a few different places to buy them allso Magnaflow or Flowmaster.

yea...i looked at magnaflow and listened to some clips on the internet and they didn't impress me too much so I decided on the flowmaster 50 series SUV...just needed to know what inlet/outlet sizes to use...

I bought my 40 series for $50 on eBay, it's probably worth a try.

with my truck i am running 3'' tubing from my cat to my muffler and then dumped 2 5'' tips right under the cab

nvm....found a good spot...found the 40 series for $40 but why is the 50 SUV $115?!?!?

flowmaster with stock pipe still sounds good and real cheap.
