'03 1500 with 4.3 and auto

Hi everyone,

 

Am considering the purchase of an '03 with the 4.3, an automatic, and it has low milage. Pretty basic truck.

 

Anything to focus on regarding problem areas?

Hoe many miles is low? Also 2wd or 4X4? Is this thru a dealship or private seller? See why it is being sold ,and see if the have any service records(oil changes,etc). If it was well maintained you should be in the clear.

It's got just over 16K miles and does not have 4WD. CARFAX shows it to be all clean and also shows minor service records.

What cab do you have?

 

I have a regular cab '99 1500 4.3 V6 automatic, and I'm getting about 20 Miles to the Gallon all around. If you're not getting at least 19, go have the fuel filter replaced... I don't know a lot about the mileage and what all can affect it, but I definatly know that I am getting about 20 MPG all around.
