Factory Entertainment Package question (2007)

I'm planning on putting 9" screens behind of the front headrests of my 2007 Sierra HD when it comes in. One of those will have a built in DVD player. GM has a two head unit options available. One can play DVDs and the other can't but it has voice recognition. The one that can play DVDs probably can't do that while the vehicle is moving. I presume there is a way around that? I wonder if that can be used to feed the rear screens so I won't have to get a second DVD player if I don't want to.

 

In the end it will probably come down to if I want to use voice recognition or have a DVD player up front.

 

Any suggestions and/or feedback will be appreciated.
