Removing Interior Door Panels

Recommended Posts

I have a 2002 Silverado Ext. Cab LS. The tweeter speakers in both the driver and passenger doors have fallen out of the mounts and rattle against the grills, it's driving me nuts. I'm concerned about breaking any clips off on the inside of the doors and adding another rattle. I have power windows and locks. I only see one visible screw below the arm rest. I've been told "Just lift up" it doesn't seem that simple. Any help would be great.

my speaker fell out a couple years ago.

from what i remember there is a screw behind the light/reflector in the bottom corner. you also have to take the bezel off that is around the handle as well as the platic tip that goes on the rod that manually locks the doors.

Thanks for the response, I'll give that a try. I've seen a few posts that mention taking off the triangle piece by the side mirror. Do you recall having to remove this piece.

haven't used it yet (too cold out) but i saw a procedure for taking the panel off to change the door handles. i just turned the fader to the back speakers until it gets warm enuf out to change the crapy speaker
