Registering/Plating a NY Vehicle

Here's some quick questions...

 

I have a 95 Cherokee down in Dansville i wanna bring up, and i think the easiest way is to just drive it up.

 

Problem is, they dont have the actual title. She has a copy of the title. She lost the original.

 

With a signed bill of sale, and this copy of the title, you think i could register/plate it all in one day?

 

The landlord is getting anxious to get rid of it this weekend.

I'm almost positive they will not accept a copy of a Title--The stamp on the title is the most important thing--Most DMV's will Fed-EX you a new title for a fee--I would try to get an original--
