Question about installing OEM Nai in 2007 Tahoe

I have a 2007 Chevy Tahoe LT1 and I would like to add the OEM Denso Navigation system that comes standard in the LTZ. I found one on ebay for $1000 and the seller said all need is the 2007 Map CD and a GPS antenna but when I called Chevy to ask them they said I would probably need to add some wiring to make it work. They want to see my truck first. Any comments on this?

There will be one brown plug missing from the back of the nav unit that doesn't exist in your truck. On this plug is a speed sense wire. We add this plug ourselfs when we do navs and run the wire out under the hood to the fuse box on the fender. Under the box are two plugs facing the motor. The plug closest to the firewall has a green/white wire, that's the speed sense wire.

You will need...

the nav

the antenna

the brown plug

the disc

After the install, you will need to connect the truck to a Tech2 to get sound from it...

Mike M2 thanks for the reply! Do you know how much Chevy will want to do this work? Or is there anyone you would recommend that could do this for me. I live in South Florida. Thanks again for your help.

Sorry, don't know about down there. It's a pretty easy task if your even slightly inclined. The hardest part is finding the brown plug somewhere....

Sorry to not start a new thread, but as a new user I need 5 replies first. This one seemed the closest to reply to. I had the OEM Denso Nav unit installed in my 2007 1500 SLT, but the unit did not come with an owners manual. Does anybody know if the owners manual is available for download from Denso or GM? I tried looking on the https://www.mygmlink.com/main/US/en/gm/home website, but was not able to locate it.

Again apologies if this was the wrong way to post this question.

Thank you.

Hi guys,

I am looking to install the nav system on my 2007 GMC Denali if anyone can please provide me with the spare parts serial number for all the parts mentioned, I would be most grateful. My local dealer wasn't so sure what is needed to install the Denso nav in the car. I told them I heard of other people being able to install it with no problems. He told me serial numbers or part numbers would greatly help him.

In addition, is it possible to install the rear view camera as well?

Thanks in advance :tear:

Mike M2, I have installed the factory Nav, and now I'm trying to put aftermarket headrest in. They are installed but not any video signal to it. I bought the modified connector for this. My question is do I need to re-flash the nav unit to get a video signal to the headrest?
