Parking Brake Release Cable Broke

The cable that connects from the release level to the metal level on the firewall end broke. That little piece on the end of the cable snapped off. It seems to fix it I would just need a new cable from the dealer. I was wondering if I needed anything else.

My 1993 parking cable release handle did the same thing. I was going to try and repair it, but the cable was just too shredded to be saved. The dealer has them and they had all the parts you needed attached. To prevent this from happening again, I now put my foot on the parking brake with a little pressure. This helps release the parking handle with a whole lot less effort.
