ram air or cowl induction

which one is better as far as horse power and personal preference goes. on 2005 silverado

Neither one will have much effect on HP other than the fact that they are both forms of a cold air intake. Ram air will show HP gains once you hit speeds of 100mph+. As far as apperance, I like the looks of a cowl induction hood.

I agree, the cowl inductions look better. I can't say anything about horsepower though.

The biggest effect either will have is reduced temps in the engine bay. Dont expect HP gains. You can tell which one I am partial too.

neither one will do anything for your vehicle, pick the one you think looks better.

Or just take a dremel tool and cut out a hole in the bottom of your airbox
