What exactly makes a classic truck ?

Forgive my ignorance but when talking about new chevy trucks, I hear Silverado 1500 classic.

 

What is a classic, what is different about them from the regular model.

This year GM has two trucks for sale as 2007. The brand new body style truck and the 99-07 body style. The older body style is being called the 2007 "classic"

Simple:

 

1 is the outgoing model (07 Classic)

 

1 is the all-new model (NBS or simply named 07)

GM did the same thing in 1999. They sold 1999 1500 Silverado Classic pickups. Those shared the body and components wtih the 19880-1998 body style trucks.

 

It makes things hard a few years down the road when you try to buy replacement parts

 

The 2007 Silverado Classic is still the GMT800 NBS truck.

The other 2007 Silverado is the all new GMT900 truck

Amen on that brother! They all do it also, Ford had the F-150 Heritage and the new F-150 in 2004, and you could get both the new body and old body Dodge in 2002. I sell truck accessories, and its a pain!
