Headers & Cats Whats the best for the MONEY?

Hey guys I have a 99 Chevy silverado with V8 350 5.7. Currently my exhaust is stock from factory starting at the engine and stopping at the cats. After that I have 3" pipes with no mufflers and a couple of bends. First of all I need to do something with the cats and was thinking that I should go stock replacement if I got headers(I dont want my exhaust to get louder)!

 

But at any rate I want new headers looking for hp gain!! Whats your opinion?

 

I need to get new cats cause my engine light goes on anf off! Should I get stock replacement? or Get something a little more hallowed out? I still have to pass inspection! haha

I would be supprised if your cats where really bad. Have you ever replaced your o2 sensors?

Yes I have, My engine light keeps coming up for Catylist Efficience Bank 2(Passenger Side)...

If you get headers, go with full length.

I got thorley tri-Y's from summit for our engines for $600 and change. I like them and they were easy to install. I also have a guy in Raleigh that does a great job for not much money at all. He hit my headers, put in dual high flow cats, crossover, and dual FM's, for next to nothing.

Yeah those HI FLO cats make a difference. I only did the one side so I think that I am going to do the otheras soon as I can!!! And then I will so the headers! Seems like you have put alot into your truck! Have you taken it to the track yet?
