Help...my radio all of a sudden has no sound?

Can someone please help me out here. I got in my truck last night and could not get my stock radio to have any sound what so ever. It comes on and I can go to different stations and the cd player works but I'm getting no sound at all. No static...no nothing.

 

What in the world could cause this?

 

It's a 2000 Chevy Z-71 by the way with factory radio

Those stereos go bad every now and again...I've seen several threads on it happening.

 

Go out there and try it again...It'll probably work.

I tried it again this morning and still no luck. Would unhooking the battery or anything maybe reset it or does that have nothing to do with that?

Man...You never know. It could work.

Try pulling the radio fuse or the amp fuse if its a bose system.
