Looking Up Order Numbers

Did I hear someone say they could look up order numbers and report on the progress (maybe a build week, etc)?

 

I ordered a new body style CCSB 2500HD a few weeks ago, and I'm dying to hear something semi-concrete about when I'll be seeing it...

I ordered a 2500 CCLB 2WD LTZ on 02/08/07 and order was accepted by foctory on 02/14/07 and as of 03/21/07 still has no Tentatve Build Week assigned. This loooong wait is driving me nuts.

Your dealer can look up build dates. I ordered my new truck on 1/10/07 was told that delivery would be mid to late March. I called the dealer mid Feb to get a build date and he looked it up and found that it was built on 2/13. I took delivery on 3/1. I have just a little over 1000mi now.

Ya, I knew he could...but he said he'd call when something changed, so I didn't wanna be bugging him every week. I just figured we might have a salesman/dealer on the boards here somewhere that wouldn't mind taking a look now and then.

Well he said he'd call if something changed, and he did. I got a call this morning saying that my truck is built, and in transit - so I guess I can stop worrying about a build week target...

 

Next question: Where did they build it, and how long a rail-ride is that to Texas?

Mine was 10 days to Portland Oregon. I think they are made in Pontiac MI.

I believe all the HDs are built at Flint, MI. So figure 1-2 weeks to get to the dealer from there.

I ordered my GMC 2500HD CC Duramax March 3rd. As of this week still no build date??

 

How long are things taking lately, and are you guys getting build dates, or are they just magically shipping.

 

Dealer told me they haven't got any build dates on there HD's so far, and the dealer is the biggest dealer in the state.

 

I also have an Tahoe on order from a different dealer that was ordered the second week of March and no build date on that vehicle either.

 

I sure am getting anxious for the new interiors !!!!!!!
