I'm sorry to hear about this.
I just bought my truck 2 months ago, 2021 Silverado 1500 RST with the 5.3L L84 V8 and the 8L90 8-speed transmission.
It had 35,875 miles on the clock when I bought it and I'm coming up on 37,700 miles now. I traded in my 2019 Colorado with the 3.6L V-6 which also had the smaller 8 Speed transmission.
Anyway, I have a buddy of mine who has been driving Chevy Tahoes for a while - he warned me about the 6.2L V-8's and said that there is atleast one class-action lawsuit against Chevy/GM, because of all of the problems and blown up engines that are coming back to GM, while they're still well within warranty.
I know the 5.3L's have some of their own issues, as do the 8 speed 8L90 transmissions but I feel pretty confident that I've addressed most of the known issues.
I would be curious to hear what the dealership tells you.
I've heard some pretty horrific stories, about how GM/Chevy has been handling these 6.2L engine failures.
EDIT: I just read your response that the dealer o.k.'d an engine replacement.
Honestly, if I were in your position - I would not want another 6.2L, but that's your decision.

My 2021 Silverado 1500 RST with the 5.3L (L84) engine came with DFM, but thank God for the "Range" AFM/DFM disabler module, which plugs right into the OBD-II maintenance port.
The best $300.00 I ever spent.
