ok heres is my problem.. i have a strange noise that is coming from my engine.. the passanger side bottom. it sounds like there is a leak in the exhaust system .but it doesnt happen all the time. to tell you the truth it has been happening alot more lately . it started out small and got louder...mostly when i start the truck in the morning or pull a hill and the more torgue i pull the lounde rit is.. but like when im on the freeway you can barely hear it. or say if your at a light and you barely touch the gas and come up to speed you dont hear it. but if you give like 1.5 rpm you can hear it .. ive changed my oil thinking it was a stuck valve but no good. i changed my plug and wires still no good.. the noise is really bothering me. im hoping some one hear can help me figure this out before i break down and take it to the dealer.

Sounds like an exhaust leak,as the engine heats up the metal expands and the leak will deminish, get a piece of hose about 4 feet long and run 1 end along the area of the noise and put the other end on you ear,it's better to do it when the engine is cold as the noise is louder.

it was an exhaust gasket leak. i ended up taking it to the shop where they had to innstall a doughnut right and now the noise has stoped and everything is great now. ive been hearing that noise for so long im just glad it wasnt something internally
