Oem Remote Starter 04' Silverado

Where would i be able to find any info on the OEM remote starter on the 04' Silverados and Seirras. I am looking to add it to my 04 silverado but need to know where to get it.

 

Do i have to take it to the dealer to have them program it to work with the oem keyless entry remote.

No such thing as an OEM variety for that year & model. It's only the new '07+ system bus that's set up for a factory or dealer add-on remote start, and not the older ones.

 

Of course, there's a ton of aftermarket varieties, and even some that can be programmed to operate with the factory lock/unlock remotes, but you'd just have to research those and find a local shop that does a lot of them--that's the route just about everyone who has one goes.
