Time On Ordering A Nbs Gmc

You guys that ordered your truck how long did it take to get it in? My dealer can not locate a truck like I want but said he could order one for me but said it could take up to 6 to 8 weeks and of course he said my trade in value would be less but wouldn't give me an idea how much less. I get the impression he is just trying to get me to settle on something he can locate. I am wanting a NBS Steel grey metallic or silver birch GMC extended cab SLT 4X4 with the 6.0 Vortec max and he said there was not anything like I wanted with in 500 miles. I told him to check out farther than that and I would pay to have it brought in. I have no problem ordering to get what I want an waiting 6 to 8 weeks but don't want to get screwed on my trade in price after ordering a truck. Thanks in advance for any info!

Make him commit to the deal when ordering. That is BS as far as the trade-in price goes. My dealer commited to my trade-in price in Dec, I finally decided to order when the GMC's became available for order with the 6.0 on Jan 22nd. I received it March 10th. So, the 6-8 week lead time is about right. Can you still order an 07? Or are you planning on ordering an 08?

How much are they quoting you?

FYI, I got mine for invoice. Don't settle for one dime over invoice!!!

For your reference, mine is:

2007 GMC Sierra SLT Crewcab 4x4

L76 6.0 liter (NO NHT pkg)

SLT equipment group

3.73 gears

rear locker

20" wheels

Sunroof

NO Nav

NO rear DVD

Side airbags

Block heater

Z82 Trailering pkg

Skid plates

Steel Gray Ext, Ebony Leather Int.

Invoice: $38,929

rebates: (2) @ $1000 each = $2000

0% for 36 months.

Trade-in: 2000 GMC Sierra SLE 3 door ext cab Z71 $11,500

Hope this helps!!

I haven't got an exact quote yet as the haven't located a truck like I want. I get the GM supplier discount and have around a $1000. on my GM card and also get $500. rebate through my insurance. Also GM has the $1000 trade in bonus cash and the $1250 rebates. He tells me they can still order an 07 so that is what I am planning on getting. I think I will do what you said and make him agree to the trade in price or I will go somewhere else. I know what I want and will not settle for something I don't, and regret it later. I even figure the rebates will go up by the time the truck were to get here if I order.

6 weeks since I put the order in and still no truck. ...it's been tough waiting. I got a decent trade-in price worked into the deal when I ordered. They just asked me to keep the miles off my trade-in. You may want to look into a chevy for pricing. In my case the chevy dealer's quote for same truck/options was almost $1000 less than GMC. They also offered more for trade-in. The GMC dealer then matched the chevy.

Just an FYI I used supplier discount also. I was then able to get them to knock another $500 off so it got the price slightly under invoice before incentives so going on what Vmax2007 said don't pay over invoice. The only negative I have seen with ordering is you don't know what the incentives will be like when the truck gets in but would not expect it to be any worse than what they currently are. I ordered mine and it should be in in a couple weeks which would make a 6 week turnaround.

Good luck

You might also ask about using you GM card with the Supplier discount. When I purchased mine you could not use you GM Card points with the supplier discount.

Finally ordered my truck today and again they said 6 to 8 weeks. I told him to call me when they got a build date. They want me to keep the miles off my truck so I told them the faster they get it here the better for them. I told them I wanted to order and not settle for something I wouldn't be happy with. I ordered a 07 NBS GMC slt 4x4 ext. cab in Steel grey metallic. Also got the 6.0 vortec max with 3:73's.and 20 inch wheels
