Gas Prices

Here in Canada the average price of gas regular unleaded is now around $1.10/Litre,

(or $108.00 to fill my 26 gallon tank when empty) converting this into $/gallon yields $4.16/gallon for those of you who are neighbors to the south.

How much are you folks paying down there on average as of late?

$2.89/gallon - Grand Forks, ND

I think that is about 3.42 Canadian dollars/litre. (if my calculations are correct)

Nope would be 76 cents per litre and we would really like that up here!

Somehow the gas stations get away with jacking the price on the weekend around here... but I've been getting it between 2.68 and 2.89 depending if I have to drive anywhere over the weekend.

Illinois/Indiana border.

Amazing the difference between the two countries. It's basically a buck more per gallon up here. What a rip off.

Do they provide you with the tax info per gallon?

your a socialist country so why are you comparing prices with the U.S? just wondering

By U.S. standards, Canada is certainly "socialist." Here, we would laugh at that characterization. We do have a wealth of social programs that our American friends don't have. They have acquired a semi-sacred status here. But our economy is hardly state-planned so "socialist" is not really the correct term. It's the best of both worlds to many.

Regular around here is right at $3/gallon. Mid grade is about a dime more. I use the mid grade because the regular is 85 octane, and the truck pings with it.

It's about 110 mile commute round trip from my home to my work, so I'm trying to telecommute as much as possible these days.

Whoops! Multiplied instead of divided possibly. Thanks for the help though, makes more sense.
