Has anyone installed an aftermarket backup camera in a NBS pickup yet? I just got a camera to install in my truck. I recently added a factory NAV system and need to install the camera. I was thinking about putting it in the rear spoiler. Thanks.

i am supposed to be getting one installed in my new truck, i think he puts it in the frame of the hitch right above where your receiver goes into

a friend has his just above the license plate on an older model (he owns a lawncare business and changes trailers often)

I was wondering the same thing. I e-mailed GM and the reply was "no backup camera in the 2007 or 2008 Sierra" I would really like to have it, if at all possible. I see that it is offered on the 2007 Avalanche. Maybe someone knows if it will fit a Sierra? (it looks like it is built into the Tailgate protector/ latch bezel) ???

I actually installed a "bumble bee" style camera in the spoiler last night. This gives a relation to your back bumper and the object you're approaching. Right now though, my image flickers and scrolls vertically across the screen, so I'm not done yet.

Anyone have any ideas on what I did wrong? After I get this thing working, I'll post pics of the install in the spoiler and the perspective of the image.

From a general video perspective, could be a bad or loose ground.

I had my gm tech add the rear view camera option to my nav radio today using Tech II. I don't have my back-up camera installed yet. The upgrade worked but now my Nav radio doesn't display the time and my fav buttons look different. Does any one have any idea how my tech could fix this.

Does your radio have the DVD player for the rear seat screen? I was wondering of it would work on non-DVD units. Thanks.

today

I have the headrest DVD player not the factory overhead unit. My head unit does not play dvd's. Today the time came and went. Sometimes it was there and other times it was not. My tech can't figure it out either. He put the original programing back and the time was there 100% of the time. I had him put it back to the rear camera setting and now the time displays 40% of the time. It seems very odd to me that such a basic function won't work. The time was also correct and the unit has been disconected many time today. That leeds me to believe it is not the Nav unit at all but maybe the trucks onboard system.

The camera I have shows everything properly. It has a built in image reverser to allow everything to show up right. It is made by Yanlab. I got it off of Ebay.
