Is My Radio Broken?

Just wondering if anyone else is expierencing this problem. My AM reception is horrible on my 2007 Tahoe with nav and XM. This is my third GM SUV and the first with this problem. I live in the Seattle area.

 

Anyone else noticing this?

My 04 1500 w/ XM, Onstar, etc. gets crappy AM reception. I can't get anything at my house.

 

My 05 2500 company truck with no options (basic radio) gets great AM reception everywhere.

 

I've heard this complaint from lots of people.

Has anyone had a GM service dept look at the problem or took it to a independent stereo shop?

I installed a Delphi Nav in my 04 Tahoe. The volume I get is about half of wha the old radio got. I don't really know if the AM is worse or not, not too many AM stations worth listening to.

Is there an amplifier I can add?
