1997 Silverado Stuck In 1st Help!

1997 Chevy Silverado 4x4 1500 SC 350v8 and auto locked in first gear. Got up this morning started her up and noticed the ABS light was on. When I pulled away from the house she wouldn't shift out of first. Tried manually moving the gear shift up and down through the gears, didn't matter. She's stuck in first gear. Any ideas?

First of all check the fuses with a tester and also do you have speedo? How about SES light? Second fail safe is to start in second gear not first. Any other symptoms.

This exact thing happened to my truck when the ignition switch went out.
