Check This Mean NBS Out

Sorry if this has been posted before... Just saw it on another forum.

Apparently this truck just has UD pulleys, intake, exhaust/headers, stall <- btw, what is this? & tune.

Sweet, I wonder if it's a 6.0 or 5.3? Also, what are "UD Pulleys"?

Can't wait til I can get mine tuned.

OK, which pulleys? What does this accomplish? (I feel like I should know this)

Bolt-on performance mod for cars/trucks. It's supposed to free up power lost to the accessory belt (driving altenator, water pump, power steering, a/c, etc.)

Underdrive pulleys reduce the amount of drag on the front of the crankshaft by changing pulley diameter allowing more power to be sent to the wheels. By reducing drag the engine will also run more efficiently. The problem is, now your alternator (and other accessories) is underdriven and might have a hard time keeping up with demand.

Long-time popular bolt-on performance mod for cars/trucks. It's supposed to free up power lost to the accessory belt (driving altenator, water pump, power steering, a/c, etc.)

So, your running your alt., water pump (I doubt they change this one), PS, A/C slower? Seems like a risky thing to do to save maybe a few HP?

5.3

Really? Imagine what the same mods would do for the 6.0!!! Or better yet, the 6.2 (Denali)
