How To Quiet Noisy P/s Pump (growl)

My 2006 YukonXL Denali P/S pump growled very loud so the dealer replaced it at 4000 miles. The replacement started the same issue when a friend recommended sucking out the fluid with an oil extractor and re-filling with Royal Purple MAX EZ Synthetic P/S fluid. I bought the fluid on line and did one extract/refill and the growl was gone literally in 3 minutes. I highly recommend it.

  I have a 2018 k3500LTZ with aluminum factory wheels. 18 inch tires. The lug nuts loosen up after a tire rotation and I am have retorque the nuts about every 100 miles. They are torqued to 140 ft lbs. The Chevrolet dealer says they have 11 K3500's doing this. They do not have a fix. The have recommended getting new wheels. All the trucks that are having an issue have the same factory polished aluminum wheel. GM part number 84397983. I am wondering if any one else is having this issue ? I have 3 duramax trucks, 2009, 2018 and a 2022. The 2018 is the only one with a problem so far. Can anyone recommend an aftermarket 18 inch wheel ?

  Yeah, they are too lazy to keep em going. Plus it is an expense. I generally stay away from locations that historically have busted equipment. I kinda like my receipts. I wouldn't want recipes from most fueling stations. 😆

  Seems like half the stations everywhere don't print out receipts anymore, either broken, out of paper, and they want you to come inside. NOPE. I just wait for the "Thank you / Come Again" screen on the terminal.

  I didn’t have trouble keeping the plastic on the old 2002 Avalanche looking new. Every three months treatment took about 15 minutes. It was a lot of plastic.

  Agree, they make good parts. Ford trucks use to run Roadmaster sway bars almost exclusively, while us GM guys ran Helwig sway bars.
