When Does The Locking Engage

Recommended Posts

How does the locker know when to engage? When ever i turn the wheel and floor it i only get one wheel spinning. However I have felt and seen my locker engage while pulling a buddy out, why did it engage one time and not the other?

The locker will only engage at 25 mph or lower in a straight line now if your making a turn one wheel will disengage because one will turn slower then the other and when you floor it in a turn only one wheel will spin cause the wheel spinning is going faster then 25mph.

There also has to be a 100rpm difference in rotation of each wheel.

It's a great idea from a manufacturer, but if you do a lot of off roading you may want to replace it with a real locker like a detroit or eaton e-locker.

Just be prepared to be sideways more often than not on the streets as lockers like these dont seperate easily.
