okay ... so it took me a while to figure it out ... but when i'm driving down the high way the little flaps that cover up the hood hinges flap making it noticeable in the cab .. its driving me nuts ... anyone have any fixes for this besides cutting them off? -- Thanks Mat

I doubt its the hinge flaps most likely its the windshield seals on the "A"pillars. A common problem especially if you have a bug deflector. You can use clear adhesive between the glass & seal to stop it.

The A pillars are the posts on the left & right sides of the windshield that go up to the roof.

Each post or pillar after those are referred to by the next letter (B, C, D.....)

Do you have a bug shield?

If so, that's probably what's causing the tapping sound...Like bugs hitting the windshield.

It's a really easy fix and there are a couple of ways you can go about it.

1. pull up the trim on the left and right sides of the windshield and run a bead of silicone under it.

2. Or just go down to your local parts store and pick up some self-adhesive 3m double-sided sticky tape and put it under there.

VOILA! No more tapping!
