2007 Silverado Nbs Exhaust

I'm a ford man about to switch to GM. I was at local Chevy dealership tocay and noticed some tailpipes exiting behind right rear tire and some exiting under rear bumper. What is the difference? Also I am torn between Silverado LTZ and GMC SLT both 4x4 crew cabs. Any thoughts on which is better would be helpful. This will be my 1st GM product since my 1978 Chevy truck.

The trucks with the side exit have 4.3, 4.8, or 5.3L engines. Trucks with under the bumper exits are 6.0L vortec max trucks. Also the gmc denalli 6.2L has the under the bumper exit. My truck (2007 Chevy Avalanche 6.0) has the rear exit. I personally like the the look of the GMC.

I recently bought a 2007 Silverado 1500 LT1 package. I like the GMC style myself a little better because it has a more finished front in my opinion. However, my whole deal was about pricing, and the Silverado fell right into that price range.
