07 Sierra ( Gmt 900) Radio Question

I have a 05 silverado with the Bose system and added a Pac audio connector and a amp and sub to the system. I also just picked up a 07 sierra w/ the bose . What is the chance i can use the same Pac ( i think it was a pac gm24) in the new truck?

I don't believe it's going to work. The '07 audio system is quite a bit different than previous model years, requiring new electronic adaptive units for aftermarket add-ons.

I figured as much. Havnt had a chance to really look the truck over yet, not sure if it has a sub woofer or not. Do all the bose systems have a seperate amp and sub?

No-I didnt get the amp and sub in mine-wish I did cause the sub comes in the console and you cant buy it anywhere yet.

i know there is an adapter for the onstar ... and steering wheel controls ... but haven't seen one yet for the bose ...

I have the bose system and i added and amp and sub. what i did was use a 2 channel output converter and just plugged them into the subwoofer harness. i get a clean signal and the bass sounds great.

 

12v - red/white Radio Harness

ground - Black

illumination - yellow Dimmer

amp turn on/ power antenna - white Radio harness

lf - (+/-) - tan-Gray

rf - (+/-) - Lt green- dk green

lr - (+/-) - brown-yellow

rr - (+/-) - Dk blue- lt blue

If equipped, the amplifier is under the rear of the center console.

 

At the amplifier, the left subwoofer wires are dk. blue/white (+) - lt. green/black (-). The right subwoofer wires are dk. green (+) - lt. blue/black (-). )

 

the sweet thing is you can get to the subwoofer wires but just pulling up the cup holders. its pretty much right underneath and its the only harness with only 4 wires coming out of it

So I just added a 2007 Nav unit to my 2007 Chevy Silverado Crew Cab. I had the work edition, so it only had a simple radio, no Bose system. The Nav unit I got is for trucks with the Bose System. Can I add an amp directly to the speakers by splicing the wires above. Also, do you know how to add a seperate screen for the DVD player? I want to mount one on the ceiling for the back seat. I would also like to add a backup camera as well. Thanks.

Almost forgot to let you guys know.I did finally add another amp and sub to my 07 gmt900, ext. cab w/ Bose. PAC makes a harness now for these trucks.I believe it is AEOMGM1416. Installs just like the gmt800's and allows you to run 2 more amps in addition to the factory amp.

What exactly do you mean about adding 2 more amps in addition to the factory? Couldnt find that part number anywhere. Is the pac harness you are talking about for replacing the factory headunit, while retaining bose? Or maybe you are talking about an adapter that just taps into the preout signals and gives you rca preouts to add other amplifiers?
