New Motor Question

My 355 has about 5700 kms (3500 miles) on it and still uses a noticable amount of oil. I need to add some about every 4-5 days to keep it above the add mark. I'm running Chrome Moly rings which I know can be a bitch to seat, I'm just curious. Oh And Im Running Castrol Syntec 10w-30 for oil.

Why are you running synthetic oil on a green engine??

 

You should be running conventional oil.

True, you should run some cheep 30w or 10w-30 valvoline. Then take out the motor and spin it up and get it hot for a while. Run up some hills hard and seat in the rings.
