Mystery Connector - 94 Silverado

Recommended Posts

Today, I pulled my glove box liner and found a mystery connector. The connector is black and has 5 available pins on it. Only 2 pins have wires going to them. One wire is Pink/White and the other Green/Black.

Any ideas on what this connector is used for? I would look it up in my Haynes manual but...I seem to have misplaced it.

The reason I had my glove box liner out is because I am trying to figure out why my MAX doesn't seem to truly recirculate my A/C. The above connector may be related...I don't know.

TIA,

-Pete

Now before people start blasting me, I have tried contacting the administrator. I have also posted here before, and I don't know why I can't now. Ok, just looking for some help choosing vent visors, what brand and all. I know I want in-channel type. Thanks in advance.

Don't hijack threads...

Do you have a light in the glovebox? If not maybe its the connector for that? or possibly power windows, or a cd changer, altough I would think that a cd changer needs more that 2 wires....

It was the connector to the recirculation motor. When I plugged it in, I quickly learned why the previous owner had disconnected it. Something in it is stripped. It just sat there and clicked. So...for the time being, I just removed it. I'll look for a new one tomorrow.

Oh...and FYI...thanks GM for putting a 7mm bolt where no wrench or socket could ever get to it. I now have one less hold down for the recirulation motor. I just snapped off the hidden screw. I think one will be plenty if I tighten it enough...it's not like there's a ton of torque produced by this little motor.

Thanks for the help.
