Paint Question, Light Pewter Metallic

I have an 03 Silverado that is light pewter metallic color. What years did they use this color and were there variations or this color from year to year. I am lookng at a camper top that came off of a 2000 Silverado. Just wondering if the 2000 year light pewter metallic is the same as the 2003 year. Thanks in advance.

I think they started in the 97 model year with that color it may have been 98. It replaced Quick silver the year pewter came out. It seems they do vary a bit. Some look more beige and some look more silver. I imagine that has to do with the level of metalic it was mixed with and the lighting. But a topper thats 3 years older than the truck might be fadded a little more than the truck. Metalic paints are hard to match in the frst pace, you migh want to be prepaired to live with a slight color difference.
