Doubleside Tape, Recommend?

Got some bed rail caps, put them on, made sure I cleaned up real good before.

One bed rail is flapping around, so I took the whole thing off. Scraped the tape off the rail cap, now I need some good double sided tape.

Anyone have any recommendations?

 

 

PS, those bed pop up tie down hooks can be a pain...already lost one base down stake pocket hole, fuggetaboutit, it's gone. Those holes go down forever.

That was a quick $30 down the hole, literally. I was ready to break something, thank goodness the kids were not home yet, they would be asking, what does F%&^* mean, daddy?

I've always used 3M automotive double-sided tape. It sticks like mad, especially if you use adhesion promoter, but it can also be removed without damaging the paint (it's a pain though).

Auto stores should have it. Also, Home Depot or Lowe's should carry it.

The 3M tape I was referring to I had to order through a local auto parts store from 3M; individuals could not order the product themselves. I also got the adhesion promoter through this manner.

You can buy the good 3M stuff from your local auto paint supplier. It really works well.

you could get some 3m vhb tape.it wont come off with that.

It's available at pep boys, checker/kragen, autozone, wallys mega-lo mart, etc. Available just about everywhere.
