A Stupid Question Regarding Denali Headlights

Recommended Posts

I have a really stupid question, but bare with me please.

I'm awaiting my used OEM Denali headlights for my 01 Sierra to show up via ups. I'm wondering, however, if they use the 9005s for both high and low beam... is there any difference when you switch from low to high if it's using the same wattage of bulb?

I know that's a stupid question, but I don't quite understand why the Denali lights use the same bulb for high and low.

Please help me =P

The difference is that the low beam is a projector and actually changes how the light is presented, while the high beam is almost a floodlight. the lowbeams actually cut the light in half in order to put a higher brightness on the ground but not to shine up as high as rearviews like a regular beam. (unless you have yours adjusted up like mine)
