Firestone Destination At Tires

For the record: I was never a Firestone tire fan but a while back I was searching for some tires for my Dad's 2WD Suburban and the Tirerack.com ratings were through the roof on the Firestone Destination ATs. They scored exceptionally well in all categories. In the past I've had good luck buying by their reviews (from people who actually own the tires they write about) So I ordered a set.

I must say. The Firestones were superb on the Suburban. Silky smooth. Crisp handling. Great in the rain too... so I bought a set for my grocery getter Cherokee and it's WOW all over again. Rarely has my picky ass been so tickled with a purchase! It feels like new. The Goodyears that were on it had been there a while and felt like they were carved out of stone. I really thought the suspension was showing its age but boy was I wrong. I highly recommend taking a look at these when you need tires. I know it isn't a GM but here is a pic or two of them on the Jeep. I don't have a pic of the Suburban.

Edit: because I'm sometimes too stupid to type 3 letter words. Sometimes I wonder...

I've got them on my S-10 Blazer. I'm not crazy about them, not what I would call an All Terrain tire. Decent in the snow... Off road, stay away from mud. :banghead:

That may very well be true. Mine won't ever see much mud. Wife uses it for a grocery getter and around town car. I was just impressed with the smoothness mainly. They did do really good in the rain though.
