Simple, bed rails and mud flaps.

Mud flaps came in for Chevy return, now my bed rails came in and they are the wrong length too long.

 

Stylin Trucks have told me to send them back, I've asked Stylin Trucks for a bit of discount and I"ll take them to a metal ship and get them cut down.

 

Stylin trucks says that will not work, I MUST RETURN THEM. What a bunch of bull, save everyone time, I take them and get them cut down, Stylin trucks pays for it and everyone is happy.

 

Why isn't there an easy way to get crap done around here! If I send them back I'll have to wait 6 more weeks for rails!

 

I'm wondering weather to attempt to cut them down myself or just send them back and order from someone else. Pain in the ASS!

Send them back. Do not attempt to cut them. Just grin and bare it, mail them back and try to be patient. I understand your frustration. The same thing happened to me with a set of door handles 1 month ago.

I wonder if I could install these on top of my GM bed rail caps? I do a lot of hauling, and the tie down points are minimal. These would work very well as tie down points. What do you think?

As long as you can get them into the stake pockets, they will work. Do your bed caps cover or make the stake pockets smaller? These install using a rubber expander block in the stake pocket. All you do is stick the block into the stake pocket and tighten the screw to expand the rubber block to hold it in there. they are very tight and secure. I had them on my 2000 and used them for tie-downs occasionally. They hold up to 1100 lbs supposedly.

 

I just like them for their looks and they protect the top of my bed rail too.

The GM bed rail caps do not make the pockets smaller. I imagine I could use both of them as you described.

Last time I ordered from Stylintrucks.com, my bank froze my CC due to past problems that Stylintrucks has evidently had.

They could't of been more helpfull with there customer service, however, there timeframe is different to my time frame. I wanted them now, they wanted to provide me with them in another 6 weeks.

 

I won't be odering from them again, just because they simply could of made me happy by knocking $30 off a $300 order and they weren't willing to do it.
