Brake controler location

I had a problem finding a good spot to mount the Trailer brake controler.  The area below the steering wheel was at too much of an angle for the pendulum to be at the correct position.  So I decided to place it in the ashtray location.  

Thought this would work great since I am not a smoker, it sits level and is with in arms reach.

I was wondering where others might have installed theres?

I was also wondering if anyone had tried to install the reastat knob for the Duramaximizer or others in the cigerate lighter location?

omg that is a great idea. i think i just found the place for my brake controler

That's a great idea.  It looks great there.  Another place to put a brake controller is in the little cubby in the center console where the door is.  I guess this is a small cd holder or something.  This only works with the console with the bucket seats.
