07 Sierra No Worky Sir Gm1

I tried usingthe factory adaptor for GM with my 07 pickup but I couldnt get the deck to acknowledge it. Any ideas? Tommarrow I will be returning it and moving on to find something new. Problem is I dont want a plug and play unit. I was wondering if any one has tried the sirius connect universal? What do I do What do I do

This unit will not work with vehicles newer than '06.

BTW, are you using the XM antenna with the sirius unit or are you running a new sirius antenna. Just curious as I am looking for options. I would use the XM antenna but I ordered my truck without XM. I could not see paying $200 for just an antenna. I would use the antenna for $50 I would do it though.

I added the GM1 to my 05 sierra denali and it worked great , even showing SIR instead of XM---then i changed to a GM NAV touchscreen unit and while it still works great--it shows XM

I just got the sirius unit installed in my parents 06 Cadillac SRX and they said that it still shows XM. We are still using the XM antenna however (are you?) and thought maybe that was the reason. They said they didn't care though.

07 sierra is supposed to be gmlan
