Overspray Help

I would rather not explain how I have overspray on the tailgate handle and plastic piece of my rear bumper. :) , but does anyone know any tricks to remove paint overspray from plastic pieces such as this? Thanks

A lot depends on what kind of paint it is.

 

If it's latex, use a good bug and tar remover and lots of rubbing. If it's enamel, I'd consider buying a couple of new plastic pieces or painting the old ones.

 

The clay bar systems by Mothers and others remove overspray pretty well on painted surfaces without harm.

I jsut picked up some "Goo Off Graffiti Remover", LOL, at Lowes today and it worked AMAZING!!!Im going to let it dry and hopefully the plastic pieces on my tailgate arent white. LOL.

I still havent gotten to tackle that project. Maybe this weekend Ill pick up the stuff. But it definatley has to hapen quick since I leave in less than a month.

All you should need is a clay bar and a mix of 1/2 water 1/2 car wash soap - it should take the overspray right off :driving:
