Speed Governer

I have a 2005 GMC c4500 truck with the Duramax deisel and Allison transmission that i bought for my business and it came with a road speed governer that tops out at 65mph is there a way for me to remove it so i can keep up with interstate traffic without having to go back to the dealer and pay for it?

I don't understand the governor for top speed as that is certainly not the way it came from the factory. I beleive the dealership just doing a reinstall of the software will fix it. I believe the top speed limiter is set for 99mph.

Medium duties do have a factory option of being speed limited lower than the normal 98 mph cutoff...It can be changed with either a programmer or the dealer...I think the dealer would be cheaper, at the most maybe 80 dollars/1 hour tech time. Programmers can cost about 300 bucks.
