Corsa Exhaust Fitment

Just wondering if any of you that have the Corsa exhaust system with dual rear exit also have either the Hellwig rear sway bar or a Class IV aftermarket hitch? I'm curious whether the rear pipes will clear the hangers for the sway bar. I'm also curious where the rear pipes come out the back - will they come out below the horizontal bar on the aftermarket receiver or do they come out to the outside of the receiver bracket? I'll have either a Reese or a Putnam Class IV bolt-on receiver, if it makes any difference.

Thanks.

My corsa touring single side exit will clear my hellwig swaybar. The GMPP catback would not clear the sway bar. Don't know about dual exits

Have a good one,

A buddy of mine did the Corsa dual rear exit on his truck with no problems. He has the factory class III hitch on his truck.

You may want to contact Corsa direct and ask them. My buddy and I have both contacted Corsa concerning fitment questions and they were very responsive in answering.

Have a nice day.

Corsa's are listed to fit with a factory hitch. If I remember right the pipes ran right under where the hitch bolts were, but the factory hitch is narrow in that area. I think a class IV hitch will be a good deal bigger, and probably will be in the way. Like the others said it won't hurt to call them and ask. Good luck and let us know what you find out.

Looking at the install pics from the Corsa website, it looked to me like the pipe ran right underneath the hitch bolts but I couldn't tell for sure. Thanks for confirming that for me.

The brackets on the Reese receiver hitch come down from the outer edge of the truck frame, so it is fairly wide.

I talked to a Corsa rep the other day and he said that they have found that 85% of aftermarket hitches fit with their system, and there is enough adjustment in the system to run the pipe underneath the hitch. He also said that the pipes can be run outside of the hitch brackets, but I think he may have been referring to the factory hitch setup when he said the pipes cleared the hitch brackets. Either way, I felt like the info I was getting may have been tainted a little bit with sales pitch because he was pushing a sale just a little. I figured I would run it around in this forum to see what came back.

Perhaps another call to Corsa is in order.

Not a problem, I'm glad I could atleast help a little. If you can get a Corsa to work with the hitch you want I'm sure you won't be disappointed with it. Keep us updated with what you find out.
