Hi there. So, I just recently installed a Nav Unit, pn#15940102, into my 2007 Chevy Silverado Crew Cab, it actually came with just a radio, it was that bare. I installed it, added the GPS antenna, and the dealer unlocked it for me. It works, but the unit was mean for the Bose Amplifier package. So, does anyone know what bose amp I need or will work. What wiring I would need. and I would like to add a display for the back seat since it plays DVDs, so is there a wire harness that I just plug in the back of one of the open plugs that will workfor that?

Also, is the arrow on the Navigation screen supposed to follow the road that you are on, or just stay in the same place, just tracking the road you are on. My previous navs would have the red arrow move around based on the direction you are going. I just don't feel like it knows which direction I am going. Also, if I get off the Navigation Path that it has created for me, it doesn't recalculate a new route, which others that I have had automatically do. Am I missing something. The Nav works otherwise, giving me directions, showing me a route, just doesn't do what I explained above. Any help, direction, explanation, would greatly help.

Wish I could help more but my OEM NAV was the '03-'05 Generation. Even still there were two settings for the screen: North Up meaning no matter which direction you were going North was always on top, and Heading Up meaning the Arrow was always pointing to the top of the screen. Heading Up is how I liked it since a left turn would look like a left turn. I believe there was also a setting to turn on auto-reroute.

Check for those "switches"

Oh, and I think you're in for a LOT of work if you're going to try to "upgrade" your truck to Bose to make it work. Personally I think you'd be better off getting the PAC adaptor to add an amp and going back to your regular door speakers (or upgrade them at the same time).

Good Luck
