My Clock Changed

I just noticed it this morning, but it's now displaying an hour later than the actual time! I know the time was supposed to change this past weekend and maybe that's when it happened, but can't be for sure. Our these truck set up to automatically set the correct time? Maybe through On-Star or XM? Just curious as this seems odd.

Your radio has the date all build in also. The software in your radio probably was written before the new "Daylight saving time" time.

 

I don't know if GM can fix that without replacing the whole head unit.

I just ran outside and checked mine. Mine didn't change.

Neither did mind... my 07 NBS was built in March 07... New daylight savings time was announced in Late 06 just as the NBS where rolling off the lot.

Well, my truck build date is 04/07, so maybe I just got an older radio! Any idea what it's tied into? I did not renew my XM Satellite Radio, so I'm guessing it has something to do with On-Star... I do have the Bose System, would that make a difference?

GM needs to issue a service bulletin on this issue and correct the problem.

Mine was built 01/07. No change on my clock. I don't have XM sat. but do have Onstar. Is the clock supposed to change to D.S.T. on it's own?

Well how does your radio/clock know what day it is? I can see having it programmed but how does it know what day it is to change over?

Y'all got me! I'm wondering the same thing. My wife's Acura is set up to automatically change between DST and Standard Time, but it's tied to the GPS. My truck doesn't have an OEM GPS. I also find it disturbing to learn that trucks built in April 2007 were affected, but others weren't! It will be interesting to see what happens this weekend...

If it were auto adjusting from DST to 'regular' time, it should be displaying 1 hour earlier than actual time, so maybe your day/date setting thinks its spring time and adjusted in the other direction? My truck was built in 05/07 and still displays the correct time/date.
