Couple Questions...

Ive debadged a car before so I can handle the removal of those, but the Z71 decal on my bed is something I've never taken off. Does anyone have any good methods to do this? Also I really want to paint my emblems and have no idea how you guys have done it, I saw a truck like mine on the highway with the black badge and loved it so I gotta try.

Thanks guys!

Some heat and strong fingers should get that z71 off, easier too since its new.

I was gonna try a blow dryer and see what happens but I'm not sure if that's best method.

It's the same material as window decals right? That kinda plastic/vinyl? I think if you used a heatgun or hairdryer and use your fingernails to pick at the first corner, it should pull off slowly.

Go out and try it and report back on how it goes. If it's easy, my 4x4 stickers are history tomorrow.

No heat required but it may make it easier this time of year. Your 4X4 stickers are just vinyl and should peel right off. It definitely gives it a cleaner look.

I used a heat gun to take off my Z-71 decals and had them both off in under 2 minutes. Just heat them up, peel a corner and wah-la comes off in piece.

I picked at one of the corners with my fingernail to see if it would lift up and it just wanted to chip away. I did not use heat first and it was about 70 degrees in the garage. It made me a little nervous so I quit. I will probably just dive into it tomorrow and get'er done.

The only debadging I have done so far are the little GM squares on the front of the doors. I plan on leaving the Vmax badges and have not decided on the tailgate badges yet. But the squares off makes it much cleaner.

Thanks for the reply's guys, I'm gonna take a crack at the decals tomarrow with a hair drier seeing as I don't have a heat gun. I'm undecided about the rest of the badges but I kinda want to leave the Vmax badge on aswell so we'll see.
