Longtube Headers For A Hd

I have a 2005 Silverado 2500HD 6.0L 4wd, Its very possible to get LT headers under there pretty easy there looks like there is plenty of space to install them. But the question is, which ones? I have heard positive things about Dynatech, and Pacesetters. I helped install a set of Pacesetters on a LS1 WS6 Trans Am. I searched summit racing but could not find any to fit my model.

 

So... are there available Longtube Headers for my 6.0L 4wd? would 5.3L Longtube Headers fit? The 5.3L & 6.0L are pretty much the same blocks so I dont see why not, Thanks for any input

Give the guys a call at Dynatech direct. When I had some questions about which system to purchase and would it marry up correctly with my cat-back system they were very helpful. I love my Dynatechs and was able to put them on myself. Of course my truck isn't the HD and is only the 5.3 but just thought I would throw in my two cents.

Love my Dynatechs...Ive got the LQ9 (HO 6.0L) with AWD. Install was a breeze, with air tools that is.

The headers I was considering for my 2005 CC SB 2500HD w/ 6.0L is Thorley's Tri-Y headers. It is the 310Y model. I was after a header that would achieve torque gains in the low to mid rpm range. The Thorley's have 1-5/8" primaries which are preferred for torque gains and their Tri-Y design also helps torque gains. These trucks are big and heavy so they need the torque. Check out http://community.webshots.com/user/sbryant2100 He has pictures of the Thorley's installed on a GMC Yukon XL 2500 with a 6.0L. I've emailed him back and forth and he's very satisfied with the Thorleys.

 

The Dynatech units are excellent but I think they favor the higher rpm power gains.

Thanks for the info guys I appreciate it. I'll be running the factory 3" duals with Flowmaster Super 44s so I guess the best move is to call around to see what set would be best for me. I just hope its not gonna cost me too much lol, $500 would be nice
