Clock Spring Help

I have a 03 silverado. I am going to be replacing my clock spring. I understand all the steps to get down to the clock spring, using this link Autowoods. My question is how excatly does the clock spring come out and and how should it be replaced? The directions do not go that far into detail, I dont want to mess up 2 clock springs, 1 was enough. Thanks in advance.
