Anybody Have Putco Locker Bed Rails On Their Truck?

OK

Several people in here have convinced me that I want an Access brand bed cover on my truck... so I ordered one. I never had a soft cover but I like the way they look and I am willing to try most anything once... legal or not.

Next I want to get some bed rails for it. The GM rails are terrible looking so I ruled them out.

Does anybody have Putco Stainless Steel Bed Rails on their truck? I don't care what year you have I just want to know how sturdy they are and how they hold up. (and if you like them etc) They look really nice in the pics.

Any help is appreciated.

Jim,Why don't you like the GM ones?

The black ones are nice but the "chrome' ones have a nasty black mattel looking end piece at each end. It doesn't look very good. I really want stainless or chrome.

I have Putco bed rails. The only thing I dont like are the end pieces need to be cleaned alot or they will start to get like corrided. Bought mine used so I didn't get the chance to keep them looking good.

My mistake,I was thinking of the GM bed rail *protectors*,Not the GM bed rails themselves.

Your right...the GM bed rails are not the best looking.

I had them for 7 years on my 2000 and they had the slot in the end pieces (for grabbing or tying to I suppose). The end pieces do get white corrosion from the long winters here but cleans off with Mother's metal polish pretty easily. I have them on my 2007 as well (haven't updated my pics yet, sorry) but I got the solid ends (no slot) this time to make cleaning simpler yet. The tubes do "yellow" also and need polishing at least once a year, they are 304 SSTL, but are NOT chrome plated, so this is expected. I liked them enough on my 2000 to get them for my 2007. I say go for it, they are very sturdy and with annual polishing, will stay like brand new indefinitely.

I got them from autoanything.com on sale for about $180.

Thanks for the input.

I placed my order for a set without the slots in the ends. We don't have much corrosion down here where it hardly ever gets below 40 degrees.

I also ordered an original Access cover. I think the combo will look really good on my Sierra.

I get a pretty good deal... see my website below!

I have a set but Stylin Trucks sent me the wrong size!!! I cut the dam things down myself, and touched the ends up with some black paint.

I like them, they look good on my truck. You can see mine in the garage!
